About Mezzanine™

Mezzanine™ is our digital strategy platform—currently in advanced development and available as an option* for this engagement.

It would ultimately provide you with a live, interactive workspace to sustain the frameworks, track progress against the Blueprint, and maintain alignment as the strategy evolves.

Mezzanine™ is optional. We use the underlying science and methodology in every engagement, but client access to the platform is a service choice. If a team wants to keep its frameworks, decisions and knowledge live, Mezzanine™ provides a structured space to do that.

It requires a small amount of client training so the team can use it effectively and keep the strategy coherent over time.

Because Mezzanine™ relies on a human in the loop approach to maintain quality and integrity, there is an ongoing cost. This can be monthly, quarterly or annual. The scale of that support depends entirely on the scope of the work.

Those needs become clear only once the first phase of the programme is complete, so pricing is designed individually once the actual requirements are known.

*We believe it could add significant long-term value to most of our assignments. We always have the option to discuss this more at an appropriate moment during the programme.

Mezzanine™ — Living Strategy

The Question Engine for Complex Business Systems - Strategy

At its core, Mezzanine™ is the practical expression of Framework Science™: a live environment where the right questions surfaced at the right time and in the right context make a significant difference.

It’s designed to turn the need to understand our client’s strategy into capability, using generative AI, machine learning and data science to understand not just what’s happening, but why.

By mapping questions to moments and meaning, Mezzanine™ will help teams make better use of the information they already have, revealing patterns, dependencies and insight that no static framework could ever hold.

When fully realised, nothing else will look or work quite like it.

Mezzanine™ - Intended Capability

  1. Keeps the strategy alive – via regular check-ins and reviews of the context frameworks that evolve as reality changes.

  2. Tracks what matters – regular assessments ensure that progress is mapped directly to your ‘blueprint’ and priorities.

  3. Protects integrity – the implicit discipline of regularly updated frameworks will ensure strategy and execution never drift apart.

  4. Captures intelligence – preserves insights and context beyond the workshop.

  5. Adapts with you – modular, configurable, and tailored to each organisation.

  6. Builds internal capability – the combined approach embeds Structured Visual Thinking™ and Framework Science™ to deliver a lasting, self-sustaining strategy.

Some Use Cases

Keeping the strategy alive.

Teams use Mezzanine™ to revisit the frameworks, update assumptions and track how decisions hold up as conditions change. It prevents the strategy from becoming a static document.

Running structured leadership conversations.

Leadership teams use the mapped system as the agenda for monthly or quarterly reviews. Mezzanine™ keeps everything in one place so the discussion stays anchored to evidence, not opinion.

Onboarding new leaders and teams.

New joiners can understand the organisation’s context, logic and priorities in minutes rather than months. The frameworks become the single source of truth for how the business works.

Planning and sequencing work.

Teams use the frameworks to organise initiatives, test dependencies and see how choices in one area affect others. It improves coherence and avoids local optimisation.

Decision-testing and scenario work.

Because the logic is mapped, teams can quickly play out implications. What happens if we change this assumption? What breaks downstream? Mezzanine™ supports those conversations.

Capturing learning from interventions.

Each workshop, retreat or working session produces new insight. Mezzanine™ stores this so the organisation does not lose knowledge as people move or priorities shift.

Cross-functional alignment.

Different teams access the same visual system. Marketing, operations, finance and HR can all see how their pieces fit together and where their work creates impact.

Preparing for board or investor conversations.

The frameworks offer a straightforward narrative. They show context, logic, risks and actions without creating a new deck each time.

Tracking integrity over time.

Mezzanine™ makes it easy to see where the organisation is drifting from the original intent. The integrity dimensions act as a recurring quality check.

Storing the exam question and its evidence base.

Teams keep the core challenge visible, along with the data and reasoning behind it. This stops teams from drifting back to old habits or solving yesterday’s problems.
