Unlocking Creative Talent

Thank you for the opportunity to put forward our high-level approach to your challenge. This document covers our initial response and outlines a path forward. As a discussion document, everything here is open for alteration and change. The images in this document will give you a good sense of how we think and work.

The Task

Design and execute a collaborative, immersive and creative session for the project team. To ensure the successful identification, recruitment and development of opportunity for ‘creative talent’. We have taken the term ‘creative talent to mean all forms of creativity across many creative genres and types.

  1. Work with you immediately upon agreement to get a fuller appreciation of all the thinking, planning and strategic assumptions.

  2. Armed with this we would ask more questions to deepen our insight.

  3. We would agree what we call the ‘exam question’ that will guide us through the program. (((Example: “What is the Vision, Strategic Direction And Blueprint for the Creative ‘destination’ (Hotel/Experience). Understandable to the degree that we can have the right conversations with our target audiences and be sure to resonate with them and engage them properly in the next phase of development of this program... )))

  4. We would then start to design the program in detail and develop the stakeholders expectations, identify ’others’ who can add expertise and insight and be available to contribute the persona’s and lifestyle clues we will build on.

  5. We would develop the stimulus materials for the session and start to button down dates and schedules to be on the ground in a suitable venue.

  6. We will conduct and facilitate the session itself and apply Structured Visual Thinking to quickly engage and make the collaboration both inspiring and practical.

  7. We will take all of the information and produce the kind and format of deliverables necessary for the next stages.

Budget Approach

There are many variables at this stage - they all affect cost.

For example:

  • The Extent Of The Challenge - The ‘exam question’ that we need to answer, it dictates everything. It dictates how long the work will take.

  • Required Preparation - The quality and nature of the existing content and thinking, that suggests how much work is needed to get it into suitable shape and then identify what gaps need filing.

  • Existing Experience - The availability and extent of knowledge of the existing project team, this will alter how we manage expectations and get alignment as a team.

  • The Experts Involved - The number of experts to be brought in, subject matter experts will need recruiting and they may be leveraged  ahead (during our preparation) or on the ground in the initial stakeholder sessions.

  • The Session Part - The extent of time available on the ground with the team and ahead in preparation.

  • The Deliverables - The style and format of deliverables. We are well known for creating very high impact and comprehensive images that can be used both as inspiring interest and attention, showing the confidence and thinking of the team and it’s vision and as education and onboarding tools for stakeholders and audiences who weren’t present.

Our cost includes - (((discuss - experts/which milestones/what deliverables - blah blah)))

Milestone 1 - £80,000

Milestone 2 - how many focus groups? Arm them to do the work themselves

Milestone 3 - ??? - the platform that sustains them

Rushmans/Group Partners

Having spent three decades building and working in the creative sector we feel very inspired and engaged in the ambition - unlocking future creativity.

The Method - Structured Visual Thinking

We create spaces for leadership thinking. We work with structured frameworks that enable teams to plan strategies and futures. We exploit co-creative high energy ‘visualised’ conversations to stimulate out of the box thinking.

We use world-class and proven techniques to inspire leadership teams. We invented this methodology because nothing existed to enable rapid, impartial and comprehensive thinking for leadership teams.

These interventions surface ideas, align the thinking of teams around clear aims and objectives and unlock the creativity required to achieve ambitions.

Your Aims:

In Milestone 1:

A key result of any initial sessions will be to determine the critical questions, conversations and outcomes we need to extract from the focus groups with the future talent.

In Milestone 2:

To be in a position to reach out to selected candidates, secure all the contractual aspects of this and manage the invitation to the collaborative (focus group) sessions. Logistically this means arranging the venues for the sessions in a setup qualified for these ‘creative’ labs.

Method: Brainstorm to emerge with a thorough list of insights, principles, conditions, characteristics and creative experiences to form the foundations of our project and solution offer.

Moderate and facilitate the sessions with the participants to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Deepen the collective knowledge of the project team about the industry and the talents

  • Understand the lifestyle insights of those talents. This may include their ‘socializing’ media and formats, their interactions with influencers and peer groups, their idols, embracing the placemaking thoughts, understanding the implications of ‘career vs talent’ develop the insights around the possibilities for online learning

  • Understand the career expectations and ambitions - the learning methodologies in general, what’s next, how it should be evolved

  • Ongoing and sustainable talent management and development. Understanding what constitutes success stories, challenges, failures and so on.

  • Understand the intermediaries, the creative agencies and the industries roles and insights  - both as individuals and corporates.

In Milestone 3:

To have documentation and content in a useable and deployable form. This will include the reports on all of the learning. This is included but not limited to the following:

  • A comprehensive blueprint of the solution

  • An executive summary and longer-form narrative

  • Summary documentation of all the sessions - including the stories of the key brainstorm sessions. A thorough explanation of all ideas and the comprehensive lists of requirements and conditions

  • The information and data will be presentable in relevant display formats

About Rushmans/Group Partners

Although it’s only one part of our work ‘visualisation’ does inform a lot of what we know works. Being more visual is highly appropriate for our times. We know busy people have less and less time to engage in the detail.

But WE have to.

No amount of simplicity/short snappy sentences or attention grabbing imagery will survive if the hard work, detail and engineering behind it hasn’t been done.

Visualisation enables us to bring a wide variety of thoughts, ideas and perspectives together.

Visualisation makes information and ideas easier to understand and remember. It allows us to realise things enabling teams to discover unknown facts, outliers and trends. It allows us to surface relationships and patterns - and do so quickly.

As visualisations emerge they force us to ask better questions and make better decisions. It creates physical and rich artefacts that are far easier for the human brain to understand and process.

Better Decision Making - We use visualisation and related data gathering and assimilation tools to ask better questions and make better decisions.

More Rapid Collaboration - We are constantly utilising new technologies/software programs to collaborate and engage. This makes it easier and more palatable to gather more information, get to the key insights and make better business decisions.

Better Understanding - Bringing ideas to life is a balance - the inspiring symbolism of the future still has to be backed up by performance metrics, trends and dynamics and all the related organisational implications that will impact the future journey.
